April 26, 1924 a group of pioneers met at the Hotel Cruz Chica, in order to create "a SOCIAL AND SPORTS CLUB, especially of Golf. Consultenos por asesoramiento en cursos y tours de golf en Argentina."; where the majority of the associates came from Buenos Aires during the holidays season. The club house was built in parallel with the course, with the traditional architecture of that time; the ground was filled with black earth and in the beginning the golfers should pick up the remaining stones while they played, and thus to arrive to the magnificent 18 holes of 6001 yards, par 70 of the present time... In 1960 swimming pool was built and then the tennis courts. It is a course with small greens, in which reading the grass direction of the greens is the key to succeed. It is famous the par 3 12th, of only 66 yards but with a difficult and moved green, high with regard to the tee and in the which Roberto de Vicenzo needed 12 strokes to complete it in a Professionals Tournament.

Today, with more than 700 members the club shows superb landscape conditions and techniques of an eligible golf course for the international level competences development. From the 80s the course acquired the classification of competitive, test of it was when the Argentine PGA, developed from the 5 to April 11, 1999, its first tournament of the Tour with the triumph of the one from Cordoba Eduardo Romero, followed by the Paraguayan one Raul Fretes, and included the most renowned players in the country.
