The club is situated in the south part of the Uruguayan capital Montevideo, in the residential zone and only 5 minutes of the shopping Center and Financial center of the city. The golf course was built in 1930 by the Dr. Allister Mackenzie (designer of the Augusta National among others), has 6635 yards and par 73, whose record belongs with 63 strokes to Ron Wuensche.

The location of the course is divided between the city and the Rambla Avenue that flanks the coast, somewhat enough private and unique. The course is emphasized besides by its fairways narrow, its dense woods and its large and moved greens. Most renowned holes are 2nd (par 4 of 447yardas) in which its length and its out of bounds make it very complicated and the 15th (par 4 of 301 yards) that has a blind tee shot and with a great dogleg towards the left, in the which the most risked can go for the green.
